UCMEA Music Scholarships

UCMEA Music Awards 

Each School district may nominate two graduating seniors; one for the vocal scholarship and one for the instrumental scholarship. The same student may be nominated for both awards, but will receive only one award if selected.
Selection of the UCMEA Music Scholarship recipients will be made on a point system based on school music activities and NYSSMA participation. Students who are applying should have demonstrated a high level of musical excellence and leadership in their music programs and the community.

Graduating seniors who will enter college as a music major shall be eligible for this award. A copy of the college acceptance letter must be attached to the application.
Students must have participated in an All-County performing group during his/her senior year, or during the two preceding years of high school. If an emergency prevented the participation of the applicant, the awards committee will consider the circumstances based on the applicant’s merit.
